Release with confidence, not crossed fingers.

We help you build quality into every stage of delivery, from test strategy to automation and performance testing. Defects are found earlier, releases move faster and users get software that works.

Overview

Quality Engineering & Testing

Quality Engineering & Testing helps organizations build quality into software delivery so defects are found earlier and releases move faster.

We assess your current testing, define a risk-based strategy and build maintainable automation for the business flows that matter most. Functional, performance and specialized testing confirm applications are ready for users, and automated tests run in your delivery pipelines for fast feedback.

The result is shorter release cycles, fewer defects in production and clear evidence that each release is ready.

Who this is for

  • Engineering leaders whose releases are delayed by long manual testing cycles
  • Organizations where defects are regularly found by users after release
  • Teams preparing major launches, upgrades or platform changes
  • Businesses that need evidence of testing for compliance or customers

What gets in the way

Challenges this service addresses

  • Slow manual testing

Regression testing takes days or weeks of manual effort, so releases are delayed or testing is cut short.

  • Defects found too late

Issues surface in production or user acceptance testing, when they are most costly and disruptive to fix.

  • Fragile test automation

Automated tests break with every change, so teams stop trusting and maintaining them.

  • Unknown performance limits

Applications are not tested under realistic load, so slowdowns and outages appear during peak demand.

  • No shared view of quality

Without consistent metrics, it is hard to judge whether a release is ready or quality is improving.

What we do

Capabilities

Each capability can be scoped on its own or combined into a larger programme of work.

Capability 01

Test Strategy & QA Assessment

Assess current testing practices and define a test strategy, standards and roadmap that fit your delivery model.

  • Testing maturity assessment
  • Test strategy and standards
  • Risk-based test planning
  • Quality metrics definition

Capability 02

Test Automation

Design and build maintainable automation frameworks for user interface, API and regression testing.

  • Automation framework design

  • API test automation
  • Regression suite development

Capability 03

Functional & Acceptance Testing

Plan and run functional, integration and user acceptance testing for new releases and major changes.

  • Functional testing
  • System integration testing
  • User acceptance test support
  • Exploratory testing

Capability 04

Performance & Reliability Testing

Test how applications behave under expected and peak load, and identify bottlenecks before users do.

  • Load and stress testing
  • Scalability testing
  • Bottleneck analysis
  • Capacity recommendations

Capability 05

Specialized Testing

Test for accessibility, compatibility, mobile and data quality where these matter to your users and obligations.

  • Accessibility testing
  • Cross-browser and device testing
  • Mobile app testing
  • Data migration testing

What changes

Business outcomes

  • Shorter release cycles with less manual effort
  • Fewer defects reaching users
  • Confidence that applications handle peak demand
  • Test automation that teams trust and maintain
  • Clear evidence of release readiness

How we work

Our approach

  1. 1 Assess Review current testing, tools, defect history and risks, and agree quality goals.
  2. 2 Design Define the test strategy, automation approach and environments, prioritized by business risk.
  3. 3 Build Develop automation frameworks and test suites, starting with the most critical business flows.
  4. 4 Test Run functional, performance and specialized testing, and report results against agreed criteria.
  5. 5 Launch Integrate tests into delivery pipelines, then hand over to your team or continue as a dedicated QE team.

Why Hinkor

How we back that up

  • Risk-based, not test-everything

We focus testing effort on the business flows and changes that carry the most risk.

  • Automation built to last

Frameworks follow clear design standards, so tests stay reliable as applications change.

  • Quality in the pipeline

Automated tests run in your delivery pipelines, giving fast feedback on every change.

  • Independent view of quality

We can test applications built by any team or vendor, giving you an objective view of release readiness.

QA Maturity Assessment

Review your testing practices, tools and defect data, and receive a prioritized improvement roadmap.

Test Automation Pilot

Automate regression testing for one critical application to prove the framework and savings.

FAQ

Questions about Quality Engineering & Testing

If your question is not here, ask it directly.

Ask a direct question
Can you test applications built by other vendors?

Yes. We test applications built by your teams, other vendors or Hinkor. Independent testing gives you an objective view of quality and release readiness.

How much testing should we automate?

Automate stable, repeated and high-risk tests first, such as regression and API tests. Exploratory and usability testing still benefit from people. We recommend the right balance based on your release frequency and risk.

Isn't testing already part of your development projects?

Yes. Every Hinkor development project includes testing. Quality Engineering & Testing is a dedicated service for test strategy, automation frameworks, performance testing and independent testing across your application estate.

How is this different from DevOps & Platform Engineering?

DevOps & Platform Engineering builds the pipelines that build and deploy software. Quality Engineering & Testing designs the tests that run in those pipelines and decides what must pass before a release.

Do you provide security or penetration testing?

Security checks in delivery pipelines are delivered through Security Engineering (Cloud & Identity). Penetration testing is not part of this service, and we can coordinate with specialist providers where needed.
