Careers

Do the work that has to hold.

We are building a company where senior people stay close to the work. If you want ownership of a real system, direct contact with the people who use it, and time to engineer it properly, this is the place to look.

Why here

A small company with a high bar.

We are new, which means the culture is still being decided. That is an opportunity and a responsibility: the people who join now set the standard for everyone after them.

  • Work on systems that carry weight

Our work ends up in production, in a plant or in a service someone depends on. You will see the consequence of the design decisions you make.

  • Direct contact with the client

Engineers and consultants talk to the people with the problem. We do not put three layers of account management between the work and the decision.

  • Time to do it properly

Tests, documentation and handover are part of the job, not something you do after hours. We plan for them and defend the time.

  • A senior team, not a bench

Small teams with a named technical lead. We do not move people between projects without agreement, and we do not hire to fill a rate card.

Hiring process

Four steps. No mystery.

The process is designed to find out whether the work suits you as much as whether you suit the work. We give feedback either way.

We do not use unpaid take-home work, and we do not ask for a current salary history.

  1. 01

    A conversation

Thirty minutes with the hiring manager about the work, the scope and what you want next. No trick questions.

  2. 02

    A practical exercise

A short, paid exercise drawn from real work — reviewed with you, not just scored. We tell you what we thought and why.

  3. 03

    A technical conversation

With the person who would be your technical lead. Design trade-offs, debugging and judgement, not trivia.

  4. 04

An offer with the range stated

We discuss compensation early and put the band in writing. No offer games after four rounds.
