managed services

Detect and respond to threats before they spread.

We monitor your environment continuously, investigate suspicious activity and help you contain incidents quickly. You gain a security operations capability without building and staffing your own SOC.

Overview

Managed Security (SOC)

Managed Security (SOC) gives organizations continuous threat monitoring, detection and response without the cost and complexity of building an in-house security operations center.

We onboard your security logs and tools, tune detections to your environment and investigate suspicious activity. When a threat is confirmed, we contain it using agreed playbooks and support your team through recovery. Regular reporting and threat hunting help improve your defenses over time.

The result is a security operations capability that scales with your business and gives you clear evidence of monitoring and response.

Who this is for

  • Organizations without the staff or budget to run an in-house SOC
  • IT teams overwhelmed by security alerts they cannot investigate
  • Businesses that need monitoring evidence for audits or customer requirements
  • Security leaders who want to extend an existing team's coverage

What gets in the way

Challenges this service addresses

  • Too many alerts, too little time

Security tools generate large volumes of alerts, and genuine threats are missed among false positives.

  • Limited monitoring coverage

Logs from cloud, identity, endpoint and network systems are not collected or correlated, leaving blind spots.

  • Slow incident response

Without defined playbooks and clear escalation, incidents take too long to contain and cause more damage.

  • Scarce security skills

Experienced analysts are hard to hire and retain, and a small team cannot provide continuous coverage.

  • Proving monitoring to others

Auditors, insurers and customers ask for evidence of monitoring and response that is difficult to produce.

What we do

Capabilities

Each capability can be scoped on its own or combined into a larger programme of work.

Capability 01

Security Monitoring & Detection

Collect and correlate security events across your environment, using tuned detection rules to identify real threats.

  • Log source onboarding
  • SIEM management
  • Detection rule tuning
  • Continuous alert monitoring

Capability 02

Managed Detection & Response

Investigate and triage alerts, then contain confirmed threats on endpoints, identities and cloud workloads.

  • Alert triage and investigation
  • Endpoint threat response
  • Identity threat response
  • Containment actions

Capability 03

Incident Response Support

Coordinate response to confirmed incidents using agreed playbooks, from containment through recovery and review.

  • Response playbooks
  • Escalation management
  • Recovery coordination
  • Post-incident review

Capability 04

Threat Hunting & Intelligence

Search proactively for threats that evade automated detection, informed by current threat intelligence.

  • Hypothesis-based hunting
  • Threat intelligence feeds
  • Attack technique mapping
  • Detection improvement

Capability 05

Vulnerability & Exposure Management

Scan for vulnerabilities continuously, prioritize them by risk and track remediation with your teams.

  • Vulnerability scanning
  • Risk-based prioritization
  • Remediation tracking
  • Exposure reporting

What changes

Business outcomes

  • Faster detection and containment of threats
  • Internal teams focused on real security issues
  • Continuous coverage without building an in-house SOC
  • Clear monitoring evidence for audits and customers
  • Detection that improves as threats change

How we work

Our approach

  1. 1 Transition Onboard log sources, integrate tools and agree playbooks, escalation contacts and service levels.
  2. 2 Stabilize Tune detection rules to your environment, reduce false positives and confirm response procedures.
  3. 3 Operate Monitor, investigate and respond to threats, with regular reporting against agreed service levels.
  4. 4 Improve Review incidents and trends, refine detections and recommend controls that reduce future risk.

Why Hinkor

How we back that up

  • Tuned to your environment

We tune detections to your systems and normal activity, so your team receives fewer, more relevant alerts.

  • Agreed response authority

Containment actions and escalation paths are agreed in advance, so threats are handled without delay.

  • Built on your existing tools

We work with the security tools you already own where possible, avoiding unnecessary replacement costs.

  • Transparent reporting

Regular reports show what was detected, how it was handled and what to improve, in business terms.

Security Monitoring Readiness Assessment

Review your log sources, tools and response processes, and identify the coverage gaps to close first.

Managed Detection Pilot

Monitor a defined part of your environment for a fixed period to evaluate detection quality and fit.

FAQ

Questions about Managed Security (SOC)

If your question is not here, ask it directly.

Ask a direct question
What hours do you provide monitoring?

Coverage is agreed during scoping and defined in the service levels. Options range from business-hours monitoring to continuous coverage, depending on your risk profile and requirements.

Do we need to buy new security tools?

Not necessarily. We start with the tools you already own and assess whether they provide enough visibility. Where gaps exist, we recommend specific additions and explain why they are needed.

What actions can you take during an incident?

Response authority is agreed before the service starts. Typical actions include isolating devices, disabling compromised accounts and blocking malicious activity. Actions with business impact follow an agreed escalation path.

How is this different from Managed Cloud & Infrastructure?

Managed Cloud & Infrastructure keeps your systems available, patched and performing. Managed Security (SOC) monitors those systems for threats and responds to security incidents. The two services share escalation procedures and work together during incidents.

What happens if our monitoring needs a major change?

Changes such as new log sources or detections are handled through the service. Larger changes, such as redesigning identity or cloud controls, are delivered through Security Engineering (Cloud & Identity) and then brought into monitoring.
