Delivery assurance
One delivery lifecycle, from discovery to operation.
Every Hinkor engagement follows the same lifecycle: Discover, Design, Build and Run. Each service applies the stages that fit its work, so you know what to expect at every step.
Overview
How this works in practice.
The Delivery Framework is the single lifecycle behind every Hinkor engagement: Discover, Design, Build and Run.
Each service uses the stages that fit its work. Advisory services focus on Discover and Design, build services carry work through to go-live, and managed services operate and improve it. Stage gates give your sponsors clear decision points, and planned handovers connect each stage to the next.
The result is consistent, predictable delivery, whichever services and engagement models you use.
- Lifecycle stages
- Discover, Design, Build, Run
- Applies to
- Every service and engagement model
- Decision points
- Sponsor sign-off at the end of each stage
- Adapted by
- Advisory, build and managed service families
A good fit when
- You know what happens at each stage before work starts
- Decisions are made at defined points, not discovered late
- Work moves smoothly from advice to build to operation
- Every Hinkor team works the same way
What the engagement includes
- Stage gates. Each stage ends with agreed outputs and sponsor sign-off before the next one begins.
- Service-specific steps. Advisory, build and managed services each use their own steps within the same lifecycle.
- Planned handovers. Every transition, from advice to build or from build to operation, includes documentation and knowledge transfer.
- Risk and dependency tracking. Risks, issues and dependencies are logged and reviewed throughout, not only at the end.
- Lessons applied. What we learn in each engagement is reviewed and used to improve how we deliver.
How it works
The steps we follow.
01
Discover
Understand goals, current state, constraints and risks, and agree what success looks like.
02
Design
Define the solution, plan and acceptance criteria, and confirm them with your sponsor.
03
Build
Deliver in iterations with testing and regular reviews, then go live with a planned handover.
04
Run
Operate, support and improve the solution against agreed service levels.
Lifecycle map
How the framework maps to each approach.
The stage names stay consistent. The language in each cell shows how that stage applies to a particular kind of work.

FAQ
Questions about delivery framework
If your question is not here, ask it directly.
Ask a direct questionDoes every engagement go through all four stages?
No. Each engagement uses the stages it needs. An advisory engagement may cover Discover and Design only, while a managed service focuses on Run.
How does this relate to the steps on each service page?
Service pages show the detailed steps for that type of work. Advisory, build and managed steps each map to stages of this lifecycle, so the approach is consistent across services.
Do you use agile or waterfall?
Build work is delivered in iterations with regular reviews, within stage gates that give sponsors clear decision points. We adapt the cadence to your governance and ways of working.
Can you work within our project methodology?
Yes. Where you have an established methodology or PMO, we align our stages, reporting and sign-offs to it.
How is this different from Quality & Delivery Governance?
The Delivery Framework defines the stages every engagement moves through. Quality & Delivery Governance defines the controls, reviews and reporting that keep each stage on track.
